Terms of Service

Vellum Command is an independent macOS application, built and sold by its developer ("we", "us"). These terms govern your use of the application and of vellumcommand.com. By installing the app or buying a subscription you agree to them.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments is the Merchant of Record for all orders: it runs the checkout, processes payment, handles applicable sales taxes and VAT, and issues your invoice. Payment data goes to Dodo Payments, not to us. Dodo Payments' buyer terms apply to the transaction itself.

Vellum Command is sold as a yearly subscription. Every subscription starts with a 14-day full-featured trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the yearly subscription begins and Dodo Payments charges the payment method supplied at checkout. Founding-cohort pricing, where offered, is locked for as long as your subscription remains active — if the subscription lapses and is later restarted, the then-current list price applies.

You can cancel at any time; the license remains valid until the end of the period you paid for. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Dodo Payments' customer portal or by emailing us.

A subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Vellum Command on up to 3 machines that you use yourself. The license key is yours alone: it may not be shared, published, resold, or used concurrently by other people. Updates are included while your subscription is active.

You may not:

• redistribute, resell, rent, or sublicense the application;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble it, except where applicable law expressly permits;
• circumvent or disable license enforcement or the trial mechanism;
• use the application to build a directly competing product.

We may revoke license keys that materially breach these terms. The source code remains our property; nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual-property rights to you.

Vellum Command is an instrument for operating terminals, SSH connections, browser pages, and AI agents that you configure, on machines and accounts that you control. You are responsible for what your fleet does: the commands your agents run, the credentials you place on your machines, the costs your agents incur with third-party providers, and compliance with the terms of any service your agents touch. The application executes with the authority you give it — give it the authority you mean to.

The application is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, and our total liability arising out of these terms or your use of the application is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes will be announced by email to active subscribers before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Questions: support@vellumcommand.com.
